On June 9th, 2014 Natalia Balyasnikova – CILS Graduate Administrative Assistant – was invited to UBC Learning Exchange to facilitate a workshop titled “Intercultural Approach to Teaching English as a Second Language”. Ms. Balyasnikova created this workshop for UBC Learning Exchange volunteers who work with ESL learners with diverse cultural backgrounds. The workshop was attended by ten volunteers in training who will be starting their work in the end of July.
